Eurocell Building Plastics Expands Wales Division

Due to the growth in Eurocell Building Plastics’ business in Wales, the company has taken on Dean Edmonds as Area Sales Representative for the South Wales Region. Dean joins EBP with a wealth of experience gained within the building, construction and window industries and will impart his knowledge in developing EBP’s accounts.

Dean will be looking after all existing accounts as well as developing new business. ‘I am looking forward to the opportunity of developing the South Wales Region as well as working for a reputable market leader which continues to lead from the front.’

Eurocell Building Plastics stocks a wide range of plastic building materials from its nationwide network of building centres, which now number 55. In Wales Eurocell Building Plastics has a centre in Cardiff with Swansea due to open in the autumn.

Tyson Anderson Joins Main Board at Titon

Ventilation and window fittings supplier Titon has appointed Tyson Anderson to its Holding Company Board of Directors. He takes on the role following 14 years in the business; Tyson has been Marketing Director of subsidiary Company, Titon Hardware Limited, since 1999.

Tyson believes that his move to the board will help Titon expand into new markets at a healthy and controlled rate. 'My appointment will assist an already forward-thinking organisation to link long term planning with an improved understanding of market demands. I am also eager to identify new sectors for potential expansion,' says Tyson Anderson.

Chief Executive David Ruffell adds - 'I welcome Tyson to the main board. I am sure his marketing expertise will help Titon deliver sustained market growth.'

Ex- Kestrel and HW Plastics Director joins Everwhite
 

Vince Richardson, ex-Technical and Marketing Director of Kestrel and ex-Development Director of HW Plastics Ltd, has joined Everwhite as Technical Director.

Bill Heads for Sunnier Times
 

Bill Massey who, after 16 years, had become one of the company's most experienced machine setters has left Spectus for the Phillipines.

Bill takes up a role as Production & Quality manager at Vignet Inc in Bataan, Philippines starting in June 2004.

Vignet is a British owned and managed company and has spent many months headhunting a person of Bill's calibre to support its Philippine production team.

Vignet produces PVCu profile systems for the developing markets in South East Asia and South America.

New Commercial Director at Laird Security Hardware

Steve Stewart has been appointed Commercial Director at Laird Security Hardware. Steve has responsibility for IT and internal sales operations and development.

With a stock holding of around 8,000 Laird and Saracen hardware items at the central distribution centre at Tipton in the West Midlands plus Boroughbridge and Falkirk, Steve and his team aim for 99% delivery next day on the UK mainland up to the Scottish lowlands.

With approaching twenty years experience working with UK and continental hardware companies, Steve is exceptionally experienced. His overall objective is to assist with the further development of Laird as a prime supplier of standard and high security hardware to fabricators and manufacturers of windows and doors in PVCu, timber and aluminium.

Heritage Glass Employs New Company Surveyor

Heritage Glass Group has recently taken on a new employee, Geoff Kay, as its company surveyor. Geoff has been in the trade all of his working life, and makes a valuable addition to the team.

The appointment underlines Heritage Glass’ commitment to providing a quality service and products, and Geoff will be working closely with customers and Heritage Glass employees, to ensure that all work carried out is suitable for each individual property and is structurally sound.

‘I am very happy that we have Geoff on our team, as his past experience will add to the service that we give our customers,’ says Tony Randall, director of Heritage Glass. ‘He will play an integral role in many of the projects that we undertake, and it is an added benefit to our customers to know that all the work we undertake is inspected by a dedicated surveyor – giving them peace of mind.’

John Fredericks Appoints New Sales Director

Trade fabricator John Fredericks has appointed Martin Hall as its new sales director in a move to further develop the business in line with the company's ambitious objectives.

Martin, who has more than 10 years' experience in both sales and the window industry, joins John Fredericks from Swiftframe where he was sales director. Prior to working for Swiftframe, Martin worked for Devon-based Sierra Windows for five years, most recently as national sales manager.

In his new role, Martin will be responsible for all of John Fredericks' major accounts. He will also manage Fredericks' external sales team.

Commenting on Martin's appointment, Steve Jones, John Fredericks' managing director, said: 'We are delighted to appoint such a high calibre sales director at a pivotal time in the business. Martin brings a wealth of experience with him and will play a key role in helping us to further develop business and progress the company in line with our strategy for further growth.

Securistyle Strengthens Specifications Sales Team

Window hardware manufacturer Securistyle has strengthened its specifications sales team with two new appointments. Ken Evans has been promoted to National Specifications Sales Manager and Neil Rabbitts has joined Securistyle as Specifications Sales Manager.

Neil will be responsible for providing help and support to window hardware specifiers in the social housing market in Scotland and the North East region. He will also be providing best practice training to specifiers through Securistyle's CPD-approved seminars, which ensures specifiers are aware of the current British Standards, compliance to safety and security as well as lifetime costings and performance of window hardware.

Neil is a qualified structural design draughtsman with 20 years' experience in the building and construction industry. His previous experience includes working for Ruberoid Building Products Ltd and Alumasc Exterior Building Products Itd on the specification side.

Ken Evans, who has worked for Securistyle for five years mainly in the southern region, now leads the team. He says: 'Neil is a welcome addition to the UK specifications team. By adding to its resources, Securistyle is demonstrating its commitment to the rapidly changing social housing market. I am looking forward to contributing to the firm's continued success.'

K2 Appoints Business Development Executive for K2 Windows and Doors

K2, the UK conservatory roofing specialist, has appointed Sharon Owen to the newly created position of Business Development Executive for its recently launched division, K2 Window and Door Systems.

A key part of Sharon’s remit will be to develop sales opportunities amongst the trade audience. This will involve working in close partnership with K2’s growing customer base.

Sharon has worked for K2 since 1999, and previously worked in business development for K2’s main conservatory roof system division. Consequently, she has a wealth of market expertise, and is looking forward to helping K2 develop its window and door system brand with a view to increasing market share.

New European Sales Role for Joanne

Jeld-Wen European Services has appointed Joanne Mitchell as European Marketing Director.

Previously Jeld-Wen UK's marketing manager, Joanne's appointment demonstrates the company's intent to establish a lasting presence in Europe as a world-class player in thejoinery industry.
