Appointment at Indigo Products
Gareth
Gibby has re-joined Midlands based fabricator Indigo
Products Ltd as Business Development Manager.
Gareth has 25 years worth of experience in the window industry including
a previous spell at Indigo back in 2003. During his career he has worked
at senior levels in virtually every area of the window industry including
trade sales, commercial sales and in PVC-u, aluminium and timber.
Reporting to the Indigos National Sales Manager Dave Stearman,
Gareth will be responsible developing new business as well as handling
various key accounts. He lives in Wales and his new role will cover
the whole country.
Upon his appointment Gareth said: I am delighted to be re-joining
Indigo Products. My previous job was very much factory based and I am
particularly looking forward to getting back on the road and meeting
many old friends and lots of new customers. I know that Indigo Products
is a fine company with a long history and a great reputation and I look
forward to helping it continue to build upon its success.

Expert Joins the Sash Team as Business Expands
PVCu
fabricator Sash UK has appointed
Mark Carver to the position of Portal Technical and Sales Advisor as
part of the companys portal expansion programme.
Originally
from Portsmouth, Mark, 42, had previously worked in the portal division
at Ultraframe in Clitheroe, having been in the construction industry
since 1979. His remit now at Sash UK is to expand portal sales within
the UK market. Portal and Conservatory director Colin Poole will focus
on sales overseas, particularly in the US.
We have discovered a vast amount of potential for our product
and unique portal service both here and overseas, said Colin.
Sash UK to our knowledge, is the largest portal manufacturer in
the UK and probably also in the US. And we offer a completely unique
service unlike any other we are aware of.
Mark has been brought on board to cope with the increasing demand
as more companies discover portal structures as a solution to their
requirements. He will also help Sash UKs ongoing initiative to
develop the business further so that it may continue to be unrivalled
he added.
Since his appointment to the post in March, Marks role has been
to generate sales and to provide project support, technical advice and
assistance with sales and marketing to Sash UKs ever increasing
portal customer base.
What makes Sash so unique in its approach to portals is our attention
to the individual. We recognise they each have a specific need and we
make sure we can accommodate it, said Mark. We also appreciate
that each client will have their own set of requirements which we are
able tailor our service to suit each project exactly. Whether they just
require us to supply an aluminium framework or a complete service from

Windows Group Appoints New Managing Director
Senator
Windows Ltd has announced the appointment of Kevin Richards
as Group Managing Director from July 1st 2005.
Kevin who has over 25 years experience in the UK window & glass
industry, joined the Senator Group over three years ago and was the
Group's Operations Director before his recent appointment.
Senator Windows Ltd. sells through a network of almost 30 franchise
dealers in the Republic and Northern Ireland.
Also in the Group are Redbrook Conservatories Ltd. and Fersina Systems
Ltd., both based in Barnsley in Yorkshire, as well as Profilia Window
Systems located in South Wales.

Fredericks Appoints New Managing Director
Trade
fabricator John Fredericks has appointed
Kevin Hill as its new managing director.
The high profile appointment coincides with the company's enhanced strategy
to build on its core strengths of product quality and flexible service
and take the business forward in a changing industry.
Kevin joins the company with more than 20 years experience in the building
products sector both in the UK and overseas, bringing the collective
experience of John Fredericks' senior management team to over 100 years.
He spent 12 years with glassmaker Pilkington and has also held general
management and board level positions at Owens Corning, leading French
heating company Chaffoteaux and Baxi Group.

Appoints New Head of Component Supply Chain
The
designer and manufacturer of conservatory roofs, Ultraframe,
has appointed Jason Middleton as Head of Component Supply Chain.
Jason has 14 years experience in identifying and delivering purchasing
and supply chain improvements. During this time he has worked in key
operational and strategic roles to deliver significant improvements
in profit and manufacturing performance of organisations within the
chemicals, packaging, automotive and construction sectors.
In his role at Ultraframe, Jason will apply his extensive experience
to develop and implement a world-class supply chain to deliver operational
efficiencies and support lean manufacturing activities.
Jason Middleton commented: 'I am delighted to join the Ultraframe Operations
team. I look forward to working with such an experienced team to deliver
Ultraframes supply chain strategy as part of the companys
drive to boost bottom line performance.'
Jason has an MSc in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management and is professionally

the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. He is a qualified
Lead Assessor and has worked as an associate of The Manufacturing Institute
providing purchasing and supply chain expertise in support of the delivery
of the DTIs Manufacturing Advisory Service.
Adding
Experience to the Mix at Kolor-fast
Chas
Hollis has joined specialist colour coater Kolor-fast
as a director, bringing 20 years of experience in the window industry
and 13 years in PVC-U colour coatings to the Darlington-based company.
Chas, who was a pioneer in bringing colour to the PVC-U window industry
in 1992, will take responsibility for managing the existing customer
base and developing new sales opportunities throughout the UK.
Kolor-fast, which has seen sales double year on year since 2000, offers
a nationwide coating service to fabricators and installers. It is the
Licensed Applicator in the North East of England for Avko, which mixes
and distributes the range of specialist paints used by Kolor-fast. Applied
under controlled conditions at Kolor-fasts factory, the coatings
bond both physically and chemically to the substrate, and are guaranteed
for up to 10 years. As well as all the standard RAL and BS colours,
special matches can be supplied to order.
