JOTIKA GOLF DAY
Despite
the bad news earlier in the day (England out of the World Cup, of course!)
the 3rd Annual Jotika Golf Day got off to cracking, if slightly later
start than usual, last Friday afternoon.
Having countenanced the fact that the national team had lost, it was time
for us all to get on and find some winners.
Playing to Stableford individual and team rules the results were quickly
compiled by Jotikas own computer programme in time for the dinner
presentation.
This was only the second year that Richard Burgin has been playing golf
(he got the bug after an invite to take part in last years event),
and he put in a fine performance, despite winning Shortest Drive!
Fortunately,
Hitting the Cameraman (with a golf ball!) was not applicable this year,
and Dave Broxton of Glass Age (pictured left) walked the Media Challenge
as he was the only one from the Press who managed to turn up (the rest
were either recovering from Interbuild or from the football).
The best Excuse of the Day trophy presented by Austen Harlow Flitter PR
went to Promacs very own Jim Jellicoe who put his poor performance
down to the fact that his cabinet is full of trophies anyway. It is to
be hoped however, that he will find some room for this one, an engraved
Optiwhite glass plaque made by TW Ide Processing.
