Our Client:

Our client is a small but long established and profitable manufacturer and installer of PVCu windows and doors based in the heart of Lancashire. Working in the Commercial Trade and Retail markets they have significant investment in new premises and machinery and are growing. Keen to progress further they wish to appoint a General Manager, reporting to the owner/MD that will bring manufacturing management and leadership skills to develop the business in a challenging and competitive market.

Role:

To undertake full responsibility for the smooth and profitable operation, to achieve the strategic goals set by the shareholders. To implement the appropriate systems, targets and controls to increase productivity and reduce costs, together with managing, educating and developing the management team. You will have complete daily management over Sales, Sales Order Processing, Manufacturing, Finance and Installation functions with full P&L responsibility. You will have close liaison with key customer’s and suppliers.

Candidate:

• Ideally you will possess strong manufacturing skills furnished with a ‘lean’ culture
• Understanding of the window or related sectors would be preferable
• Relevant management responsibility within a small to medium enterprise or a self contained division of a larger Company.
• A strong leader with good ‘people’ skills and a track record of change management
• P&L responsibility
• We are seeking a persuasive leader and educator, who is commercially astute, IT friendly, numerate, ambitious, disciplined, has the ability to work under pressure, very ‘hands on’……..all with plenty of presence.

Remuneration:

Negotiable package for the right person, with the possibility of equity in the future
