Client:

Our client is the plastic building products division of a substantial £400m turnover group of Companies and based in the North West. Successful and dynamic operations include design, manufacturing (principally extrusion) and distribution with customers nationwide. Engaged in continuous improvement and with an open and friendly culture they are expanding both organically and by acquisition.

The Role:

• Reporting to the MD and Board with overall responsibility and accountability for both the Finance and IT Departments
• Driving and delivering financial strategy and maximising full potential for both the accounting and IT functions
• Preparation and presentation of monthly operating and financial budgets, monitoring and assessing company financing and exposure
• Front line liaison with Customers, Suppliers, Group Auditors and Financial Institutions
• Promoting commercial awareness with strong financial management and achieving strategic business goals

The Person:

• We are seeking a dynamic senior finance professional with a strong commercial focus to give authoritative guidance to senior Directors and the Management team
• A passion for performance both personally and as part of a team is of paramount importance
• You will be a Leader, with excellent people as well as strategic skills and able to operate comfortably as part of the board
• Ideally with a background in the construction or manufacturing industries.
• Experience of working with ERP/MRP systems would be desirable.
• ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent
