Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental Manager
(North West)

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:

Maintaining and retaining company accreditations relating to quality and environmental procedures, promoting quality awareness in relevant areas, ensuring that:

• all products manufactured, conform to current and approved standards (BS EN1279/ EN 12150 - EN 12600),
• all standards, test methods, quality plans and specifications are current and adhered to within the manufacturing departments,
• all relevant records and reports are completed, detailing results of inspections, tests and assessments of products, and
• new methods of product assessments are developed and introduced.

Ensuring that health & safety standards, audits and procedures are adhered to throughout the company, which will include:

• promoting and developing a positive and safe culture,
• reviewing the performance of the safety management system and monitoring the effectiveness of this in respect of safety, health and environment of its employees, members of the public and those affected by its operation,
• the creation and updating of the safety, health, environmental and quality procedures and other associated documents that may be required, ensuring that the procedures fall in place with the Group requirements,
• advising managers/ supervisors on the compliance with current legislation, regulations and company codes of practice,
• all accidents, dangerous occurrences and environmental incidents are properly reported, investigated and actioned. Assisting with the prevention of accidents by raising safety awareness, and
• the improvement of existing working methods by introduction of safe systems of work and performance standards.

Ideally, you will have a sound knowledge of the products, processes, specific market needs, customer requirements and standards expected by the company, with the ability to work in an organised and methodical manner, excellent communication skills, and the ability to ensure that working relationships are maintained and developed to high standards.

Package commensurate with experience.
