at Interbuild
Pilkington Processing and Merchanting UK, will be actively participating
at Interbuild 2002 at the NEC, Birmingham this year.
The popular Pilkington RIBA Approved CPD Seminars are part of the RIBACPD
@ Interbuild 2002 programme and will be run in Room 23 next to Hall
8. Glass in Fire Resistance will be held on Monday 10th at 3.00pm and
Thursday 13th at 10.30am and Glass for Energy Management will be run
at 3.00pm on Tuesday 11th. The CPD seminar places can be booked via
the RIBA Interbuild website http://www.ribacpd-at-interbuild.com.
The Glass in Fire Resistance seminar addresses the specification of
appropriate glass - the types of fire glass available in the market
place, development and manufacture of fire resistant glass, regulations
and tests associated with fire control, firescreens and the role of
fire resistant glass within them
Glass in Energy Management is designed to help architects and specifiers
understand the possibilities and the limitations when considering solar
heat gain, thermal insulation, natural light transmission and aesthetics
of glass and glazing. It includes all the relevant information specifiers
need on current legislation, codes of practice, regulations and standards,
health and safety and CDM, log term maintenance and appropriate and
inappropriate applications.
Pilkington will also be supporting window manufacturers, WHS Halo and
HW Plastics. In addition to providing the Pilkington Insulight glazing
units for both companies stands, Pilkington personnel will also be available
at the exhibition to give advice and information on glass products and
issues, particularly compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations.
