At Glasstec, Unilam International will be demonstrating a range of resins
for the manufacture of laminated glass. These resins are being successfully
used in over 70 countries around the world.
Unilam 1418 is for the manufacture of safety, security, bullet resistant
and decorative laminated glasses.
Unilam 0518 is for the manufacture of glass to polycarbonate. This offers
the customer a safety, security or bullet resistant product with the
benefit of reduced overall weight and thickness.
The resins can be used to laminate virtually any combination of glass
types, float, sheet, toughened, heat strengthened, curved, mirrored,
fused and patterned glass, and can also be mixed into a range of colour
pigments to create many different colour finishes.
New for Glasstec 2002 is the Unilam Vetrocolour glass coating system,
which is a range of specialised surface coatings for the architectural
and building industries. The system can be used to decorate toughened,
annealed, curved, laminated and textured glass. The range of finishes
includes, opaques, metallics, pearlescent and multi coloured finishes.
A part of the stand will be a working Cooltemper toughening plant, size
1000 x 600mm. Plants are available up to 6000 x 3000mm.
