Ianua´s activities in the field of machine and line production for the glass industry have been extended with the addition of a new company: Ianua Engineering and Contracting, with headquarters in Florence, central Italy.

The company, which employs 35 people, all with at least twenty years of work experience in China, Egypt, Malesia, Italy and the US, is dedicated to the design of new float lines and to the redesigning of existing machines and lines.

A recent collaboration agreement with PPG has further strengthened Ianua's specific technology.

HTM/ 2 (Horizontal Tempering Machine – Double Chamber):

The evolution of Ianua horizontal furnaces for flat tempering with one chamber (HTM/1) has led to the manufacturing of a flat tempering furnace with two chambers (HTM/2).

The advantages of this solution are primarily the doubling of the productive capacity and a decrease of electrical consumption.

The main features of Ianua convection and irradiation furnaces are the same: the exceptional optical quality and the planarity of tempered glasses even coated ones.

The first htm/2 started production at the end of August in the USA.

New Architectural Bending and Tempering Section:

A bent tempering section has been introduced to the horizontal flat tempering machine. With this combination it is possible to bend and temper the glass required by the current market. This solution saves space and reduces the set-up time. The bending axis is parallel to glass flow and the minimum bending radius is 2000 mm.

New Version for Pre-Firing Operation:

A new special version of HTM is now available for pre-firing operation of screen-printed glass. This new machine looks like a standard horizontal tempering machine but has some important differences. The machine allows a fast pre-firing of screen-printed ink, which is applied to face 2. The new machine is available in different dimensions, according to customer requirements.
