COSIFLOR
PLEATED BLINDS LAUNCH TWO
NEW FLAME RETARDANT FABRICS
FOR THE CONTRACT MARKET
Cosiflor Pleated Blinds is known for its pleated blinds that are made
to fit any size or shape of window. Cosiflor offers all kinds of different
shapes from standard, rectangular through to triangles, trapezium and
also pentagons. The company is now launching two new flame retardant fabrics
for the contract market, marketed through UK based manufacturers.
These new fabrics, which join the 10 fire retardant fabrics already available
for the contract market, are high performance polyester metalised with
a flame-retardant finish. They are available in 2.3m width.
The contract market is expanding and with the EEC directive for computer
working environments, it is essential to have the right blinds. Light
must filter through the fabric so that there is no glare on the monitor.
The two new fabrics adhere to these requirements and complement a wide
range of tastes. The Ajour Reflex is available in five pastel colourways
- light and dark grey, sea blue, pale green and beige - and is metalised.
The second fabric is Crepe Reflex. It is available in 6 colourways and
is translucent - light and dark grey, two tones of blue, pale green and
beige, all metalised.

AZTEC'S
ALTERNATIVE ROOF SYSTEMS
Fabricators can accelerate their conservatory assembly time by almost
a third using an innovative system from Aztec Conservatory Roof Systems.
The Haydock-based company is racing ahead in roof system fabrication,
through its comprehensive package for fabricators, that has seen it grow
to over £4m turnover in under two years.
Aztec's
system uses only 10 main sections in the entire roof assembly. Much of
the assembly can be done by one man, without fixings, until all pieces
are positioned, and many accessories simply clip into place, further accelerating
the assembly process and giving the consumer a better end product with
reduced risk of water ingress. The combination of roof system design and
the engineering of each section means that several hours can be cut from
the whole roof assembly process, according to research by Aztec.

Kombimatec's
1HD/01 Double Reverse Butt Welder
Kombimatec, the UK producer of window making machinery based in Luton,
has launched a new single head welder specially designed for reverse-butt
welding.
The new model is not an adaptation of a standard single head corner welder.
The 1HD/01 has very robust designed overhead clamping to ensure there
is no slippage of any of the profiles even when performing two reverse
butt welds at the same time.
The larger than normal table cylinder (twice that of standard single head
welders) provides the power to consistently produce the same melt loss.
Knives built in to the table and clamps bite the weld sprue tightly allowing
it to be easily removed leaving an extremely neat finish to the surface.

Independent fences manufactured to suit the height of the profiles means
no cumbersome support blocks are required.
Footswitch for clamping the final 3 mm at high pressure leaves the operators
hands free to locate the profiles.
Special knives are also available to use when creating a 'tee'joint reverse
butt rather than a cruciform. As a result the neat thin knifed-off look
on the bevel will match the top & bottom faces of the profile avoiding
hand cleaning.

Wright Style's
F1 Fire Resistant Glazing System
Wright Style, UK steel glazing system specialist, has announced a new
fire resistant glazing system, for doors, screens, windows and ground
floor treatments.
The F1 Series range of profiles, forms a light and visually appealing
fire resistant glazing system for both integrity and integrity and insulation
applications. The system is suitable for both 30 and 60 minute fire resistant
specifications, yet maintains a small profile depth of only 60mm, making
it some 30% thinner than existing 60 minute door and framing systems.
In addition the F1 Series system is designed for use with the companies
fire resistant glazing gaskets, making the traditional practice of wet
glazing (using ceramic tape and silicone pointing) a thing of the past.
The development of the system for 60 minute applications is a natural
progression from the original 30 minute design, and comes in response
to an ever-increasing demand, from both architects and specifiers, for
a cost-effective and aesthetically pleasing fire resistant system for
ground floor treatments.
Wright Style recognises that both form and function are equally
important in the design of fire resistant glazing systems, and our products
reflect those vital architectural considerations, said Denis Wright,
Managing Director.

The F1 Series complements other Wright Style fire and security systems,
with the firm having recently launched a series of new systems, which
they claim to be firsts, including:
The first dry glazed curtain walling system to achieve 120/120
fire resistance, for integrity and insulation against radiant heat
The first multi-pane glazing system with snap-over beads to achieve
a fire rating of 120 minutes
The worlds first pivot window to be fire-rated to 60 minutes
integrity
The first fire resistant automatic sliding door, providing 30 minutes
integrity.
The new F1 Series has been certified in independent tests, to BS476 part
22 for 6O minutes integrity and 60 minutes insulation, for fixed framing
or single leaf and double leaf single action doors.
Wright Style is committed to the provision of both bespoke and standard
systems, working in partnership with architects and specifiers to develop
innovative steel glazing solutions that both look good and deliver added
security.
Wright Style Ltd, based in Devizes, Wiltshire, England, offers a full
technical support service, or you can visit the firm at their web site

network of licensed fabricators.
