Douglas Q3 Results Show 22.6% Higher Profits on Sales up 7.5%
Hunter Douglas, the world market leader in window coverings (Luxaflex®),
and a major manufacturer of architectural products (Luxalon®) reports
its results for the first nine months of 2005. Sales were EUR 1,404.2
million, 7.5% higher than EUR 1,306.1m in the first nine months of 2004.
The sales increase is attributable to 4.5% volume increase, 1.1% negative
currency impact and 4.1% increase from acquisitions. All geographic areas
had organic growth except Australia, where sales were level.

Q3: Increases Earning Power and Refines Forecast
In the first nine months of fiscal 2005, the technology group Linde
achieved a 7.8% increase in sales based on comparable prior year figures
to 6.833bn euros (2004: 6.337bn euros), an 18.6% rise in incoming
orders to 7.903bn euros (2004: 6.663bn euros) and a 17.5% improvement
in operating profit (EBITA) to 590m euros (2004: 502m euros).
