Ultraframe Reports Interims
Ultraframe Plc group revenue for the 26 weeks ended 31 March 2006 was down 5.9% to £41.4m on the comparable period (down 9.2% on a constant currency basis). Within this, dollar sales in North America were up 6.2% to $36.0m (£20.6m), offset by a sales decline of 19.9% to £20.8m in the UK.

Mellon Reckons Latium Bid Undervalues Ultraframe
Mellon HBV Alternative Strategies, a registered investment adviser and a subsidiary of Mellon Financial Corporation, owns approximately 11.65% of Ultraframe's issued share capital. In a letter dated 8 June, Mellon HBV informed the board of Ultraframe that in its view the recommended 30p offer by Latium Holdings Ltd undervalues Ultraframe.

Ultraframe will Join Wendland under Proposed Latium Deal
BRIAN KENNEDY, whose Latium Group owns Everest, Weatherseal, Wendland, CDW and Space Kitchens & Bedrooms, with a combined annual turnover of £400m, and who also owns the Sale Sharks rugby team, has offered a 30p a share offer for Ultraframe, the struggling conservatory roof designer, in a deal worth £52.m (including £23m debt). So far, the offer has won over some 35.8% of the share capital.
