AG's £6.5M Investment 'Gives 'em 'L'
A little over a year after moving into its new £2M purpose built factory, Barnsley-based glass processor AG Glass has upped its game even further with an additional £4.5M investment to create extra production space (now totalling 65,000 sq. ft), and installing the latest state-of-the-art production equipment from Bystronic, Lisec and Ashton Industrial.

Thermoseal invests in new premises
The Thermoseal Group, the fastest growing UK supplier of double glazing consumables, has moved to new 27,500 sq ft premises on a 1.5 acre site at Nexus Point, Birmingham. The company has also announced a series of opening days and Part L training workshops, timed to coincide with Glassex and beginning on March 4th.

THE MORAN GROUP OFFERS EXCLUSIVITY FOR WINDOW WARM
Adelphi Window Systems, part of The Moran Group PLC, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Window Warm of Leamington Spa. Window Warm will have sole distribution rights for the Adelphi window and the Advantage conservatory roof within an approximate 20 mile radius of Leamington Spa.

MORE FUND RAISING FUN
PR expert Kate Ashley-Norman of The Bath Plug & Tap Publicity Company swapped her pen for a couple of hours sweeping the floors at MB Frames’ Bristol factory, helping her on the way to raising funds for a 100km hike to the Himalayas. Deceuninck and Status march confidently side by side into 2002 and beyond
In a major presentation to the trade press last Wednesday, Deceuninck, and subsidiary company Status Systems outlined their separate but mutually beneficial plans for the coming year. 2002 will see a further significant increase in turnover for Deceuninck in the UK, plus the addition of further capacity as the result of a multi million pound manufacturing and warehousing site investment at Calne.

PPG announces drop in earnings for 2001 despite record sales
PPG Industries has reported fourth-quarter net income of $83 million, on sales of $1.91 billion. This compares with fourth-quarter 2000 net income of $126 million on sales of $2.1 billion. For all of 2001, PPG's net income was $387 million, including a $101 million pretax restructuring charge in the first quarter.

RIBA announces new national conference and awards at Interbuild
RIBA is to hold a two-day national conference in June in what is hoped will be the first of a regular series. The conference will take place at Interbuild on the 11 and 12th June and will be organised in association with The Architects' Journal published by Emap Construct. HW PLASTICS - Macclesfield grows, Gloucester goes
HW Plastics Limited has announced a multi-million pound investment in its manufacturing facilities at Macclesfield and Scunthorpe, together with a major restructuring of its operations. As a result of this programme, its Macclesfield site, already one of the largest extrusion operations in the UK, will be expanded and by the end of March 2003 will produce all the Company's window profiles. The Gloucester factory will ultimately close.
