And all of that data, of course, comes from YOU! Which is why I am very pleased that we now seem to be providing a genuine forum for discussion on a range of topics, as readers realise the immediacy with which comment and response can occur in a weekly, electronic medium. I'm sure it's a bit scary too, to realise that a comment which is emailed to The Gl@zine before 6pm on a Monday, can be the talking point among over 10,000 industry professionals before lunchtime on the following day! Still, we love it, so keep it coming!
Deceuninck Advert

Since we flagged up the English victory in the last Test Match against the South Africans a couple of months ago (you know, when it was summer?), it seems only right that we should record another historic, if rather prosaic, win against the same country in the Rugby World Cup. Also, our No 8 gave English footballers a lesson in sporting diplomacy in explaining his very public punching of the Springbok winger: 'He had his hand in my face so I gave him a bit of a slap'.

Tony Higgin He should get away with it just for his honesty, I reckon....

'Nutty Professor' is the Scourge of Filthy Polycarb
'Tony Higgins is right to ask about the long-term future of polycarbonate in architecture (last week’s Gl@zine). We’ve all seen fogged and filthy polycarb barrel vaults in numerous locations, and they look, frankly, shabby, detracting from the desired image of what’s going on beneath, be it rows of shops, theatres, or railway stations. And there are tens of thousands of depressing square metres of it out there, slowly degrading under attack from airborne pollutants like acid rain and hydrocarbons'.
