discussions held between Chris Flint, HM Principal Inspector and
his team at the Health & Safety Executive,
with technical and trade groups representing the thermoforming
industry an agreement, has been reached which is intended to prevent
injuries caused by machinery used in the sector.
Perhaps of greater relevance, is this another example of the steady consolidation in the window market as a whole? Masco is strongly rumoured still to be on the acquisition trail, not just in the UK, but in Europe in general. Meanwhile, the UK market is playing a waiting game to see who is still standing by the end of the year, after which we may see some mergers or acquisitions.
On
a different note, the B2Bzine company has expanded, with the launch
of a sister publication for the Kitchen, Bathroom and Bedroom market.
