A Historic Week in the Offing
As we send this issue of The Gl@zine out, we extend sympathy (or should that be empathy) to our Irish friends suffering from a post Paddy's Day hangover. We also extend our prayers to all those people currently facing each other in Iraq, in the wish for a speedy end to that situation. It doesn't escape our attention that a US government quango was set up some months ago to handle tenders to US construction companies for the rebuilding or Iraq. We wonder how many UK firms are on the list.

Glassex is finally upon us and we are happy to report that next week's show is set to be one of the best ever, in terms of the range of exhibiting companies, and the number of visitors who have already pre-registered. Life and business goes on, although perhaps our industry could be doing more to educate the public in the fact that bunkers can have windows.

The City is very up and down, for obvious reasons, but we are getting the first annual results through from some of the industry blue chips which show that - as we have been saying for months - the recession which some quarters have been trying to talk us into has not really happened. Yes, there are problems such as market saturation, but our industry appears to be dealing with that in a responsible way. Glassex, as ever, will be a barometer of the industry and as the old saying goes - be there, or be somewhere else. To ensure that all our readers receive the very latest, last minute, most up do date info on Glassex, we will be mailing a Special Show Preview on Thursday, so look out for that in your Inbox.

The Gl@zine is exhibiting once again and a warm welcome (and a glass of ice cold champagne) is extended to all existing and potential customers. Come and see us on Stand F140 (and read more about our stand presentation here).
