If you take too much notice of the constant whining from The City at the moment, you probably won't be going anywhere apart from under a duvet or into a bunker. It remains a heady irony that - as we report in the News this week - the construction industry, and the glazing and fenestration industries within that - have outperformed most of the rest of Great Britain plc over the last few years.

Talking of Glassex, holidays and the like, I'm sure most of you in the conservatory business must know by now that Ultraframe is choosing to take its top 100 customers and their partners to Cyprus for four days rather than take their usual stand at Glassex. While respecting their right to make such a decision, I think the NEC might be a safer place! Ultraframe is using the occasion to launch an all-new, budget range roof, which we await with interest.

There is continued interest in Looking Glass, our new searchable database. Don't forget, if your details are not there, or are inaccurate, please email them here. Any sales queries, please contact Norman Setra on 020-8671 3711 (mobile 0780 2672695) or email him here.
