In recent weeks we have seen Deceuninck's UK CEO Gary Morton stepping down to take on a new role nearer to his home and family - of which we shall no doubt hear more about. This week, there has been a major board reshuffle at Alcoa, a new President steps in at Assa Abloy as former chief heads off to head up Ericsson (apparently the top job in Sweden - apart from managing the England football team of course). And back in the US of A, PPG has a new Vice President of its Flat Glass division.

Last but not least in this week's role of honour is the appointment by Darby Glass of Andy Law - a name which few in the glass processing / sealed unit manufacturing market will be unfamilar with. He will be taking charge of the Gloucester plant as general manager.

This may be an opportune moment to remind readers of The Gl@zine that we have a vibrant Job Section as well as our People Channel. This week we have tasty appointments on offer from MACO UK and Sash UK, 14 positions in our column provided by CrossLane, and coincidentally, 14 CV's for your perusal in our JobShop

A certain amount of fluidity in the job market is always seen as a sign that the economy is healthy, so don't be afraid to apply for one - if for no other reason than to cheer yourself up!
