We will cover the show in more detail next week, by which time we may have some figures. In the meantime, a couple of companies with positive news have been quick off the mark: Edgetech has sold its first 'TSS' sealed line into the UK, while Solutia has launched Vanceva Color into the European automotive glass market.

In another interesting development announced at Glasstec, Glaverbel has launched MyGlaverbel.com, a web based solution for its customers described as an Interactive Encyclopaedia of Glaverbel Products for the Construction Sector. We also have the full statement from Pilkington on its interim results: Activ has not produced the goods yet but hopes for the second half are high.

Finally, it was great to catch up with so many of you at Glasstec, and even nicer to hear so many positive comments about The Gl@zine.

Please keep the e-mails coming - we would especially like more reader comments or queries, so we can turn The Gl@zine into more of a working forum for its readers. You can email me at tony@theglazine.com
