There is still no definitive news on the Ultraframe vs Burnden (K2) case. It looks like both parties shot their bolt a bit too early last week, which causes a problem when a weekly news service such as The Gl@zine is able to report items so rapidly. We have now received seven press releases and three letters from the two parties involved, so I hope you will understand why we have decided to withdraw from reporting on this particular story until we have a more concrete version of the events.

Two stories this week concern overseas companies setting up agencies in the UK: Alumayer, an Israeli aluminium finishing company has set up a UK subsidiary after carrying out several contracts here, while Italian machinery manufacturer Breton SpA has entered into an agreement with Ebor to launch a range of glass processing machinery. The UK clearly remains a lucrative market for foreign manufacturers.

In case you are wondering where the Google in-site search has gone, we have moved it to the bottom of the page.
