Keep on writing Charlie!
Prince Charles may be right after all, perhaps we are becoming too litigious as a nation. At least, if you have been following the long running saga which is Ultraframe vs. The Burnden Group you may be forgiven for thinking so. Although it seems to have finally ground to a halt, this legal juggernaut has cost millions and still does not appear to have thrown up any firm conclusions. We will report on this fully when we receive a definitive statement.

On a lighter note, the last week or two has witnessed two industry events which show that design innovation and technical expertise in glass are still very much alive and well. We were wowed by The Bombay Sapphire Awards (and not just because of the copious amounts of a dangerous looking blue cocktail which flowed freely all night) and we were mightily impressed by the RIBA Downland Prize, in which glass and glazing projects swept the board.

Finally, exhibitions are looming: Glassex 2003 has announced that it will be bigger and better than ever, while our growing preview of Glasstec in Düsseldorf has now reached epic proportions, covering some 83 companies.

Plus, just when we thought we had covered everyone involved in the Winter Garden building in New York, we got this story from Pilkington...

And have you ever wondered how to recycle glass from TVs and computer monitors? Click here.

Oh, nearly forgot, we have a new feature this week: all Projects listed on the Gl@zine are now listed alphabetically by company in the Archive. Click here to check it out. Plus, the Product Archive has been significantly extended, both by Product and by Company
