Future is Green
Yesterday around 70 members of the PVC-U window industry
gathered at the invitation of Epwin founder Jim Rawson and VEKA MD Dave
Jones to kickstart the new marketing initiative PVCaware.org, Calling
on other window, door and conservatory fabrication and installation companies
to sign up to this recycling based initiative, Jim Rawson called for the
industry to stem the losses of post consumer PVC waste (reckoned to be
about 42,000 tonnes pa) by taking advantage of the information on the
PVCAware.org website and recycling instead of dumping into landfill.

This one action would improve PVC-U's green credentials, save money and at the same time give salespeople at the sharp end something to explain with pride to the modern environmentally concerned homeownwer.
