The Gloves Are Off!
The stakes have been raised considerably in the PVC-U vs. Timber sustainability debate by the launch of PVCAware.org, which we reported on last week. Showing rather unfortunate timing, but with a spirited defence of his love of timber, eminent window man Roy Wakeman also weighed in to the debate last week.

This week, it looks increasingly as if the gloves are off, and the 'debate' has turned into full scale war. Spectus MD Sam Kennedy has joined the fray with the kind of aggressive defence of the sustainability of PVC-U which the industry should have been doing years ago. It is perhaps significant that of our seven featured projects this week, four are timber, two aluminium.
