We have had a lively debate in the 'We Have Email... section
over the past few weeks about the wisdom or otherwise of investing in
the current financial climate. Investment stories continue to crop up,
however, with Synseal, Eurocell and Astraseal all
recently investing in composite door lines. Also noticeable are the financial
packages now on offer, with Anglian signing up to CCS and
HomePro launching a commercial finance service.

On a brighter note, dates, deadlines and sponsors for the G08 Awards have been announced. In brief, the year's best networking event is taking place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on 3rd October 2008. Deadline for entries is 15th August, so get onto the website sooner rather than later (http://www.g-awards.com).
A footnote for clarification on the Glassex figures, which we received too late last Tuesday to run on that day's Glazine. The organiser tells us that Glassex was 25% bigger than the 2007 event, 40% bigger with the addition of GP&T.
