GP&T
- Do We Need it? This seems a bit of a shame. While it is perhaps true that GP&T promised more than it could ever deliver at its launch event, it did give the glass industry what it had been asking for for many years - something which 'put the Glass back into Glassex'. GP&T was never going to work as a separate show, but now it is co-located again with Glassex, the two shows between them should present to the trade - and 'outsiders' such as architects and specifiers - all that is best about our industry. With most of the innovation, and regulatory requirements - coming from the glass industry at the moment, it is even more of a no-brainer that the glass element is well represented at the NEC in April. So
the simple answer to the above question is yes, we do
need GP&T - there is still a huge amount for people
to learn about the modern demands of glass and glazing,
and companies who stay away are missing an opportunuty
to contribute to the future of their own industry.
