Shepley
Joins the List The news that Shepley and its sister company Interframe have both entered administration adds to the growing list of New Year failures and threatens the livelihoods of some 380 people. Having said that, administrator Bill Dawson is continuing to operate the group while looking for a buyer and the latest news is that the current management team have put an offer in, so good luck to them. A challenging time for the GGF to introduce a new President, but with Rick Wilberforce having done his two year stint, GGF rules mean that a new President had to be appointed. In comes Robert Aitken, no stranger to GGF members, as he is also chairman of the BFRC and chairs the GGF's Home Improvements Executive. Congratulations to Robert and good luck! Good
news from Poynton this week, where
Crystal Windows has been acquired by Tony Wooderson,
who has held senior management positions with Crystal
since joining in 2001. Founder Paul Masterson, previously
the company's major stakeholder, has sold to enable
him to concentrate on his other business interests.
