Control Glass Could Save the Planet!
Well, that's not quite the claim of
a major new study by industry association Glass for Europe, but
in presenting its findings at a conference yesterday, it was claimed that
the correct application of solar control glass could cut C02 emissions
in Europe by between 15 and 80 million tonnes per annum, enough for governments
to take note, surely?
Rick Wilberforce of Pilkington called this opportunity 'the low-hanging fruit' and encouraged policy makers to pluck it: 'We are all aware of the urgency of fighting climate change. Here is an opportunity to make a major contribution in the building sector.'

trotted out, as if there is a house standing in
