Countdown
to G07
The industry is braced for an interesting second half, with the PVC Group being broken up after parts of it were rescued from the administrators; Brian Kennedy is set to invest heavily in Everest and we hear that a funding hitch has prevented the sale of another well known profile group. More on this in due course. We can announce this week that The Industry Debate - a cross-industry discussion panel which is taking place on October 17th at Coombe Abbey - is attracting an impressive line-up of participants from the window industry. We shall report more fully on this next week. Love
'em or loathe 'em, HIPs and EPCs appear to be here to
stay and early findings from the government
would seem to justify their existence. Most 4 bedroom
properties are scraping through with an E rating, showing
how far the housing sector has to go to offset its carbon
footprint.
