Shines in USA
The US market continues to struggle, with NSG and Masco
both reporting a decline in sales and profitability. With much of Europe
still fairly bouyant, the vagaries of the American market do not appear
to be affecting our economy much, if at all. One ray of sunshine from
across the pond this week is the news that Edgetech has been ranked
as one of the fastest growing companies in the US. More about this below.
NSG could not have consolidated its long standing relationship with Pilkington at a better time - Pilkington's two strongest markets, the UK and Germany, have both performed well, at a time when the domestic Japanese market is suffering not least due to a general economic downturn and a weak Yen, and the US continues to underperform.
