HIPs
Need Replacement
We were rather surprised to return from our holidays to find that the much debated HIPs scheme appears to have been bulldozed through - presumably in the hope that everyone was on holiday and therefore wouldn't notice. Various bodies - not least the House of Lords, the National Association of Estate Agents and the National Audit Office - are still fiercely critical, so one feels it's not quite a done deal yet. Preparations are now underway for the Glazing Industry Event of the Year - the G07 Awards, which will be held at the Birmingham Metropole on October 12th. One of the highlights of this year's event is the Bohle Glass Student of the Year, which is now down to its final twelve. We report on this below. Finally,
if you are a Rugby League fan, don't miss out in this
week's special competition - only on The Gl@zine - to
win two pairs of tickets to watch the Saints do battle
against French side Catalan Dragons in the historic
first ever Rugby League Challenge Cup Final to
be played at the new Wembley Stadium!
