HIPs Need Replacement
One can't help feeing sorry for Gordon Brown - only managing four hours vacation before being recalled to Westminster to deal with Foot & Mouth and Floods in the country he had only just told everyone else to take their holidays in. I presume he was on his way to the land of his fathers.

We were rather surprised to return from our holidays to find that the much debated HIPs scheme appears to have been bulldozed through - presumably in the hope that everyone was on holiday and therefore wouldn't notice. Various bodies - not least the House of Lords, the National Association of Estate Agents and the National Audit Office - are still fiercely critical, so one feels it's not quite a done deal yet.

Preparations are now underway for the Glazing Industry Event of the Year - the G07 Awards, which will be held at the Birmingham Metropole on October 12th. One of the highlights of this year's event is the Bohle Glass Student of the Year, which is now down to its final twelve. We report on this below.
