More of the Green Stuff
Another week, another campaign around energy rated windows. Following hard on the heels of the launch of Pilkington energiKare, which we covered last week, the GGF has stepped up to the plate with the announcement of Project Green.

Veka Advert
While perhaps not winning any marketing awards for its name, Project Green will prove a highly useful tool for GGF members in the race to capitalise on the sudden upturn in interest among UK householders in climate change and carbon footprints.

Synseal Glass Kit

With the BFRC scheme now fully up and running under the GGF - new WER labels are currently being issued at the rate of about 100 per month - it is the perfect time to back it up with some solid market information to help the window industry explain the benefits to the end user. The heart of Project Green is a powerful software tool which will be able to calculate energy efficiency of homes on a national basis, and quantify the savings offered by WER windows.

Ultraframe Advert

We hear from several companies this week who clearly don't need that much help in marketing the benefits of their energy rated windows: Synseal has achieved an A rating with a 28mm sealed unit and a warm edge spacer, Listers is going down the same path as the kitchen appliance market in the launch of an A+ energy window (who will be the first to come out with an A++?), while Masterframe has managed to get the first A rating for a vertical slider. Go to the top of the class!
