Progress on all Fronts
Competition in the Window Ratings race is hotting up. Fairly quiet in the UK until recently, leading European warm edge system Swisspacer - part of Saint Gobain - is now making serious inroads.

Veka Advert
This week, it is anounced that the Swisspacer system has been used to achieve two A-Ratings - the first for Eurocell, with its Ultimate 70 window, and an uprated A+1 window from Lister Trade Frames. On the other side of the fence, we also hear that Promac has now sold no fewer than 11 For.El Super Spacer® lines in the UK.

Win a TV with Synseal

We also report this week on progress at Spectus: Duncan Douglas has joined Spectus as Sales and Marketing Director, while Hanley Trade Frames, the Stoke-on-Trent based fabricator and installer is now fabricating Spectus' Elite 70 range with ovolo finish.
Ultraframe Advert

LB's Sheerframe Thermlock also appears to be going from strength to strength. In the last two years Thermlock sales have doubled and it now sits alongside conventional aluminium and steel as a third alternative in reinforcement.

Edgetech Super Spacer

This week we introduce a new section as part of our side columns: Machinery (under Products, left). This will cover machinery and tools for both the glass and window sectors and this week includes stories from Stuga, Promac, Combilift, Elumatec, North Western Lead, Kombimatec and Inagas.
