Audited figures on household recycling and composting rates released on 15th December 2006 show that 261 (66%) local authorities met or exceeded their individual targets for 2005/6. 210 (53%) of them also met or exceeded the national target of 25%. This further confirms that recycling has almost quadrupled since 1997.

Bau Wows the World
This week we have the final report from Bau, which, despite being at a most unseasonable time of the year (and in fact Munich was buried under two feet of snow for the duration) still managed to attract a record 209,000 trade visitors to see the products of 2,046 exhibitors from 44 countries.
