Campaign Gets Boost from Geoff Hoon
The 5% VAT Campaign has notched up another gear, with Synseal
not only getting a meeting with MP Geoff Hoon, but apparently getting
some immediate action as well! (more on this below). As we reported
last week, Edgetech has set up a Petition to No 10 via a new
online service, which readers can find here
and which already has nearly 100 signatures.
Back in July we published a matrix of warm edge technology comparisons supplied by Edgetech. We invited readers to supply any updates or amendments to the information in the table, and as a result of feedback (from one company) we are publishing a revised version here. We continue to welcome any other changes.
Other, more shocking news this week includes the news that Sam Kennedy has left WHS Halo after 18 years, reportedly to head up the management team at a systems company nearer to his home in the North West; the future of monthly trade magazine Glass Age - now in its 49th year of publication - is under review; and CAP Aluminium has gone into receivership with the loss of 150 jobs.
