Stuff and Nonsense
If you have been following our support for Edgetech's 5% VAT on Energy Windows Campaign, you are probably getting as annoyed as we are at the increasingly feeble responses from an ever more confusing plethora of ignorant and self-serving government committees, the latest of which we publish below.

Veka Advert
However, the Campaign continues to build a head of steam, with Synseal, aluplast and AG Glass all pledging support and writing letters to their local MPs. Synseal has gone one step further and demanded to see a certain Geoff Hoon MP in person! More on all this below, and in the meantime, get those MP letters off, we need to continue to raise awareness.

Synseal New Tool

Great news for Pilkington Activ, meanwhile, which is the subject of a new BRE report, six months in the making, which shows the effectiveness of the product in reducing costs, environmental impact and even suggest that loss of life and serious injury in window cleaning accidents may be reduced.

Our glasstec 2006 Review continues here, with stories and pictures from CGI International, Ashton Industrial, EFCO and Interpane, to add to our existing stories on Supertrucks, Tremco, Bavelloni, Tamglass, Hegla, Promac/For.el, Ritec, Dow Corning and Edgetech. More next week.

Finally, Happy Birthday to us: we launched The Gl@zine 5 years ago yesterday, on November 13th 2001. For those of a nostalgic disposition, the first issue, or what's left of it, can be seen here.
