The Glass & Glazing Federation (GGF) has proved itself
worthy yet again of its name as a Trade Association, protecting and
lobbying on behalf of its members rather than looking at more opportunities
to make money from them! In October we reported how the GGF continues

from parking charges and fines when working in the capital - especially
important in the wake of recent terrorist attacks, where glaziers are

This week, we report on the GGF's latest lobbying efforts, this time directed at a clear case of abusive practice by BT in connection with the Telephone Preference Scheme (TPS). Being founder members of the TPS, the GGF has obviously been keeping an eagle eye open for abuses of the system and appears to have got BT bang to rights. OFCOM has a fortnight to answer the GGF's charges; we await their comments with interest, and look forward to the GGF being able to give itself a pat on the back.
Finally, the Gl@zine Glassex Preview continues to grow, with new information on aluplast, KBE, RegaLead, Tremco and Stürtz, to name but a few.
