Who would have thought 10 years ago, when Network Veka was

China will once again be held in conjunction with China
Glass 2006 in Beijing, China. This time, it will be held
just before China Glass. The venue will be announced later.

Elsewhere,
we have a couple more examples of the game of musical chairs which is
only going to get more common, with demand levelling out while capacity
shows no great signs of decreasing. Duraflex has signed up Jeff
Cole's well established Essex based Select Window & Door Systems
to the Diamond Suite, while Birkenhead fabricator Direct View is
expecting to double output to 600 fpw after switching to WHS Halo's
Eclipse system.
An interesting report from Palmer Market Research, meanwhile, on
the Social Housing market, which is prospering thanks to the effects of
the Decent Homes Initiative and also from the continued growth of Housing
Associations (who are more easily able to use private funding) over Local
Authorities. Doors are the runaway success in this sector of course, but
windows are still showing growth and the nascent impact of conservatories
in the social sector is surely one to watch.
