Considers its Options
Only
a week after we asked how much of the PVC-U window industry wasn't up
for sale, we receive confirmation that the Deceuninck family has been
talking to a number of investors since last year, but has decided not
to make a move at this moment. The family stressed that discussions
about increasing capital, forming partnerships or making acquisitions
were being held on a regular basis, in the long term interests of the
company and its stakeholders.

Since acquiring Thyssen Polymer in 2003, Deceuninck has become the biggest manufacturer of PVC window systems and building profiles. The company is active in more than 60 countries, has 31 subsidiaries and is supported by 3043 personnel, 670 of them in Belgium. In 2004 the Deceuninck Group achieved sales of £582.1m.
This week we hear the sad news that Peter Watling - who retired as sales
director of Wagner
GB through ill health - has passed away. Our sympathies to his wife
Maureen and the couple's children.
We

confirm from my participation at
GPD last month that, in terms of
meeting these objectives, GPD has
no equal and can still boast its
contribution to the driving of new
technologies across borders and
indeed, of the whole industry forward.
