A new range of retail literature from Duraflex
- The Natural Choice in PVC-U - is a colourful pack

Technology has published a new manual aimed at establishing
the principles of good practice in the design and specification
of wood windows. Freefoam
recently introduced its new Colour Range guide which highlights
the companys large colour range and provides specific advice
on the care and installation of these products. UK window hardware manufacturer, Securistyle,
has created a free, easy to use, window hardware considerations
wall chart.
Construction
Orders in the year to September 2004 rose by two per
cent compared to orders in the previous twelve month period, and
orders in the third quarter of 2004 rose by one per cent compared
to the same period a year earlier.
Total
Glass
has launched its own fabricator training facility. The company, one
of Profile 22's largest fabricators, established the Total Training
School in response to a growing skills shortage. Merlin
UK
has opened its new training facility for the window industry in Oldham.
Merlin, working in partnership with Remploy, provides all aspects
of training for the window industry.
Fabricator
Finestral Windows and Conservatories
says that it has built a credible reputation for quality over the
last 23 years. It recently experienced an exceptionally high number
of orders and had to make a decision to invest heavily in expanding
its manufacturing capacity or to outsource. Earlier
this year North East company - Regency Windows
Ltd of Sunderland, opened a new showroom which displays
a wide range of conservatory styles with all of the conservatories
featuring roof systems from Newdawn & Sun Ltd.
On
October 28th, Saint-Gobain Corporation,
the holding company for the U.S.- and Canadian-based businesses of
Compagnie de Saint-Gobain of France, celebrated the first Saint-Gobain
International Day of Health and Safety. The
Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has awarded British
Glass £93,000 funding to lead a health and safety
