Veka Advert

'This year some suppliers have been looking at new ways to spend their increasingly stretched marketing budgets and the result is that some traditional Glassex exhibitors have decided to try something new by not attending Glassex. Meanwhile, non-traditional Glassex exhibitors have decided to try something new by attending Glassex. As organisers, we too are mixing the traditional with the new. On the new front we are running the Glassex Installer of the Year and the Conservatory Design Competition which we hope will give Glassex a refreshing look and feel with lots going on throughout the halls.

'We look forward to welcoming all of you to Glassex to mix the traditional with the new and to mix business with pleasure'.

I must also flag up some of this week's news stories: Ultraframe MD Nick Gale has departed after a profits warning; K2 has purchased Cestrum Conservatories from Heywood Williams; the Bryco/Coldseal group of companies (in which HW had a stake), has gone into receivership, as has Romford window giant BAC - coincidentally on the same day!

Finally, the G 04 Awards are now building up a head of steam, with two new confirmed sponsors taking the current total to eight, plus the great news that Jack Dee has agreed to act as host.
