He says: 'The latest thoughts of the ODPM on the 2005 revision were assumed to be those published in its October 2003 paper, Possible Future Performance Standards for Part L. However, ODPM has very recently issued another paper, entitled Part L Review – 2005 : Adaptation Study – Version 1, which appears, in places, to run counter to the former paper. Because of the opportunities here for widespread confusion, it is important for industry to look at the scope and conclusions of the latter paper, and to keep them in mind when developing its policies towards the revision of Part L.'

Saint-Gobain Sales up 3.8% at Constant Exchange Rates, up 2.2% Like-for-Like
Consolidated sales for the Saint-Gobain Group came to £22,236 million for the first nine months of 2003, representing a contraction of 3.0% on an actual structure basis and 4.6% on a comparable structure basis.
