Extrusion investment
Plaslyne has announced a £1.3 million programme of investment in its extrusion operation.
This includes the addition of four new state-of-the-art high speed extrusion lines at its production facility, purchased as part of plans to launch new product ranges later this year.
David Drew, general manager, Plaslyne, said the investment increased Plaslyne’s operational capacity from 5,000 tonnes to 7,000 tonnes per year as well as delivering improved quality.
He said: “We have seen a significant increase in demand for a number of our products and particularly for our Kayflow rainwater system. This new investment gives us the increased capacity to meet that growing demand, a platform to expand our already comprehensive product range and an opportunity to improve quality.”
Plaslyne’s Kayflow rainwater system is available in half round, square line, ogee and deep. Easy to fit and with a complete range of matching fittings, the BSi kitemarked range is also available in a choice of five colours and comes complete with a 10-year guarantee.
Plaslyne also offers an extensive range of ancillaries, roofline products, cladding, cills, internal window boards and internal cladding.
David added: “This is a very exciting time for Plaslyne, we’re continuing to perform strongly and are building on that performance with new investment that will improve product quality and support our plans to bring new and cost effective ranges to the market later this year.”
