Liniar, the window system from HL Plastics, won 13 new fabricator customers in May.
Managing director Roger Hartshorn said: “We designed a system which is legacy free and makes fabrication and installation easier. We now have 85 fabricators and we’re getting a steady stream of enquiries from fabricators looking for a window system designed for today’s market. Fabricators and installers have to compete for work in a much more difficult and competitive market now. Costs are higher and most systems are similar. Homeowners are looking for better value and products which help them save money, improve their security and carbon footprint while looking good and improving the look and value of their home. These higher expectations are hard to fulfil with systems that were designed several years ago.”
The Liniar window system is lead-free, so it meets the Vinyl 2010 commitment ahead of time, and it requires substantially less steel reinforcement so it cuts costs and fabrication time. Its thermally efficient design helps fabricators achieve the highest Window Energy Ratings (WERs). As importantly, the same window is BS7950 accredited for enhanced security so there is no compromise or trade-off between energy efficiency and security.
