Force 8 stable door
Force 8 has created a new range of composite cottage and stable doors, of almost any size and design.
Force 8 adds some creativity to its design and does not just stick to old-fashioned design methods for barn and stable doors. Force 8 can create a door and make it look truly unique, using both contemporary and traditional design techniques. The new range has all the benefits of a composite door, including all the structural and security features. The new stable door sets have the look and the feel of real timber without the drawbacks of shrinkage and warping.
Force 8 demonstrated the differences between a normal pvcu panel door and a Force 8 composite door during a demonstration at its Stockport factory.
Using a battering ram based on a design used by the FBI and swat teams, both styles of door were tested. Although the standard pvcu panel door’s locking system held up to the battering, it was the panel itself which failed, allowing entry within five seconds. In contrast, the Force 8 composite door could not be breached, and even after the severe punishment, still opened as normal using the key. The GRP door leaves with metal edges and five point locking systems, which include two hooks, really did prove too much for even the most determined.
Each door carries a 25-year structural guarantee, which means that it will not twist or warp, an inherent problem with solid timber doors. To see the demonstration for yourself, go to www.force8.co.uk and watch the video.
