Rite Launches MC Exit Device
Security
solutions provider, Adams Rite, has
launched its MC Exit Device, a new two-point exit device locking mechanism
designed specifically to be used with the new generation of thermally
broken multi-chambered doors.
The MC Exit Device is a concealed two point locking mechanism designed
to be compatible with the new Adams Rite panic and emergency escape hardware
including the new 900 Series Exit Bar. As well as providing a secure locking
mechanism for this new generation of exit hardware and for the new generation
of thermally broken commercial door systems, a version of the MC Exit
Device has also been developed for the traditional shopfront door systems.
The two-point exit device meets the requirements of BS EN 1125 and 179.
It features an automatic hold open mechanism to ensure the locking points
remain withdrawn and do not impede the closing action of the door before
automatically relocking when the door closes and the bolts are aligned
with its strikes. A 17mm Euro profile cylinder override is a standard
feature along with the flexible drive element allowing it to be used with
the new exit hardware on a wide variety of door thicknesses. The security
of the locking mechanism is also further enhanced with an automatic deadlocking
facility.
The MC Exit Device comes in a 18mm wide case and is available at http://www.adamsrite.co.uk
