Partnering
with Pilkington energiKare is as Safe as Houses
Pilkington
has again partnered with Safestyle UK to supply its new energy efficient
insulating glass unit, Pilkington energiKare, directly to homeowners.
Safestyle UK, the nations largest independent window retailer, sealed
the partnership this month and will use the Pilkington energiKare
brand in its television and radio advertising, as well as online.
Safestyle
UK has been a Pilkington customer for the past decade and has 30 sales
and 13 installation branches throughout the UK. In the last year alone
the company installed £100million of replacement doors and windows
in homes the length and breadth of the country.
Commenting on the partnership, Group Purchasing Director, Brendan McCambridge
said: 'We are very excited about this extension of our collaboration.
With Pilkington energikare, well become the first company
in the UK to offer the public an energy rated window as a standard product.
'Using Pilkington energiKare allows Safestyle UK to achieve a Window
Energy Rating of at least C and thereby also carry the respected Energy
Saving Recommended status from the Energy Saving Trust - which signposts
homeowners to products that will help them save energy and money off their
fuel bills.'
Pilkington Commercial Director, David Stoker, added: 'Our partnership
with Safestyle UK, one of the countrys most well known and well
respected window companies, makes it even easier for millions of homeowners
to have Pilkington energiKare in their homes. According to the Energy
Saving Trust, by replacing old single glazed windows with windows incorporating
Pilkington energiKare, homeowners can save around £80-£100
off their annual fuel bills. Pilkington energiKare cuts heat loss
from a window by 90% compared to a single glazed window, this in turn
helps to reduce the energy use of the whole house by about 20%.'
