Elumatec's SBZ610 Perks up Permaframe

Now trading in its 21st year, Permaframe Ltd of Frome in Somerset has taken delivery of a new SBZ610 CNC profile machining centre from Elumatec as part of the company's continuing expansion. MD, Richard Smith is already very familiar with the Elumatec brand and over the years, has invested in a number of the options in the vast range, including V notchers, end millers and saws to help with the production process. The purchase of the SBZ610 shows his confidence not only in the quality and reliability of the machinery itself, but also in the mechanisms of Elumatec as a company.

‘We made up our minds to go with the SBZ610 as we felt it was a better build quality and far more accurate than any other comparable profiling centre on the market,’ he comments. ‘In addition, we cannot fault the service that we have received from Elumatec over the years, which was a major contributory factor for the specification of the machine. We have a reputation for service excellence that we rigidly uphold throughout the business, and we expect the same from our suppliers. Elumatec has never let us down!’

Dealing mainly with the retail and trade sectors, Permaframe is making significant headway into the commercial market with its extensive range of PVCu doors, windows and conservatories. The latter in particular is experiencing an upsurge in popularity. The introduction of the new profiling centre is aimed at facilitating and streamlining the whole production process. ‘The main reason behind the decision was to effect an improvement in efficiency,’ continues Richard. ‘It was important not to compromise quality but the SBZ610 consistently produces the very highest quality time and time again. Since we installed it, we have noted a marked improvement in productivity, allowing us to turn over a sizeable amount of units a week, a figure that we confidently expect to rise in future as our output increases!’
