Efficient Windows and Doors Revealed at Ecobuild
JELD-WEN,
the manufacturer of doors and windows, will be showcasing an extensive
range of sustainable and energy efficient external joinery solutions at
Ecobuild.
The
company, which has extensive R&D facilities and is at the forefront
in terms of development of windows and doors to meet Building Regulations
and the Code for Sustainable Homes, will be demonstrating its new Hi Profile
Combi window and its energy efficient doorsets that make a home more thermally
efficient.
Tony Pell, Product Manager at JELD-WEN, explains: 'This is the first time
we have exhibited at Ecobuild and its a great opportunity to show
how our high quality windows and doors can reduce carbon emissions and
meet thermal performance requirements. Timber is widely recognised as
the only truly sustainable material for windows and doors and this is
leading to strong demand from developers across the UK.'
JELD-WEN produces an extensive range of timber windows, all of which are
manufactured from PEFC Chain of Custody certified timber which originating
from well-managed forests.
The company has experienced tremendous interest in its recently released
Hi Profile Combi window, which achieves a U-value of 1.5Wm2/K as standard
with higher specifications available giving the architect or specifier
total flexibility in window design and configuration.
JELD-WEN offers high performance soft-coated 24mm Low E insulating glazing
units as standard on all its factory glazed timber windows, which reflects
the heat from the radiators back into the home during winter and keeps
the heat from the sun on the outside during the hot summer months.
The company will also be demonstrating its composite doorsets, with a
wide range of door styles that meet the requirements of PAS23/24 and Part
L 2006. JELD-WENs composite doorsets are specified for many developments
throughout the country and are renowned for their robust construction,
excellent value for money and high thermal performances.
For new build or refurbishment work, JELD-WEN also offers a wide range
of plywood, veneered and moulded doors, which are ideally suited to a
full range of internal situations. These internal doors include a wide
choice of robust, aesthetically pleasing and affordable options with many
styles available as fire doors.
