Homesafe-Lindman Doorsets Earn the Kitemark Accolade

Homesafe-Lindman, one of the UK's largest manufacturers of high performance doorsets, has been awarded BSI's Kitemark licence, one of the first door companies to receive this accolade. The licence covers Homesafe-Lindman's fabrication of single leaf doorsets tested to PAS 23-1 and PAS 24-1 in both GRP and PVCu composite, with PVCu outer frames.

The Kitemark provides the ultimate reassurance for specifiers and customers, since it ensures that every door manufactured meets this standard, rather than just the door that was tested. This is because BSI inspectors make unannounced visits to Kitemark holders and take away randomly selected doors to re-test, to ensure compliance is being maintained. The Kitemark is the ultimate seal of approval for Homesafe-Lindman and enhances its position as a leading supplier of doorsets for social housing.

Chris Dixon, commercial director for Homesafe-Lindman commented: ‘To be awarded the Kitemark confirms our commitment to the highest standards of fabrication, bearing in mind the stringent assessments required by BSI. We have invested £2 million in manufacturing facilities at our Newent factory, near Gloucester, over the past three years and are confident that we provide the best possible combination of product, processes and service to benefit our customers.’
