Alexander Windows Achieves ISO 9001 Accreditation

Following an assessment by an independent body, Stockport windows manufacturer, Alexander Windows, has been awarded ISO 9001 certification.

With only around 5% of UK businesses having achieved ISO 9001 status, Alexander Windows sales and marketing director, Richard Robinson, is delighted that the company, which celebrates its 16th anniversary later this year, has been recognised this way. He comments: 'We have always taken great pride in the way we go about our business and in particular, the emphasis we place on customer service and the ongoing professional development of our staff.

'ISO 9001 certification is supported by the Government and recognised world-wide as a mark of professionalism and excellence. It is great to know that we are doing things right at Alexander Windows and everybody here is proud to have achieved this result.'

Wynne Walker, who undertook the assessment for Quality Management Systems (QMS), was impressed with the Alexander Windows approach to staff training, saying: 'Any business which wants to provide an excellent service to its customers needs to understand that it first has to think about how it develops its own people. Richard and the Alexander team have just done that and are to be applauded for the attitude and commitment they have shown to both their staff and therefore, their many customers.'

ISO 9001 can give businesses a significant competitive edge over their rivals and is a cost effective way of demonstrating to customers that quality is of premium importance to an organisation. As Richard concludes, Alexander Windows recognises its importance and is now striving to achieve further similar accreditations: 'We have actually enjoyed going through this assessment and appreciate the benefits this and other certifications can have.
